what is herbal tea?
Herbal tea, also called Tisanes, are herbal infusions.
An herbal infusion is a concentrated method of brewing dried or fresh herbs in water.
The herbs can be brewed for anywhere from 2 minutes to 4 hours to overnight (time really depends on the intended end result) in a large jar or teapot, or mug, often covered with a lid to enhance the nourishment.
Drinking herbal tea is a wonderful way to increase the vitamin and mineral content of your diet and obtain therapeutic doses of medicinal herbs.
My special stress relief decompression blend, The Warm Pause, is “technically” a tisane and is naturally caffeine free with marigolds from my garden and organic red rooibos, lemon balm, spearmint and ginger. It is delicious hot or iced!
